Retirement Plan Specialist (Entry to Sr. level) Recent grads welcome!

Due to our growth, we have a few opportunities for candidates who are experienced retirement professional OR recent grads who have the aptitude to provide consulting services to our clients through Ascensus’ technical access service, providing in-house consulting, conducting seminars, technical research, analysis and special projects as assigned.  If you don’t have retirement plan experience – not a problem!  We have an extensive 20 week training program to teach you everything thing there is to need to know about ERISA, IRS/DOL laws and regulations, etc.  No sales involved.

Responsibilities (may vary based on experience level):             

·       Answer 1-800 IRA queues

·       Review, audit, and update existing basic and intermediate internal or external training modules

·       Demonstrate a functional knowledge of Ascensus retirement plan documents

·       Demonstrate a functional knowledge of Ascensus retirement plan forms and notices

·       Assist with performance of IRA document reviews

·       Complete basic IRA research projects and present basic IRA research findings

·       Analyze and interpret general legislative, statutory, regulatory, or case law guidance

·       Demonstrate a functional knowledge of IRAs/SEPs/SIMPLEs/CESAs/HSAs, prohibited transactions, and investments

·       Enhance technical and industry knowledge by attending continuing education classes

·       This position may include 25%-40% travel

Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field required

·       Prefer 3 years IRA industry experience, but not required.

·       Demonstrate basic proficiency in Outlook and MS Office software applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point

·       Skills:

·       Demonstrate excellent client service skills

·       Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and positive attitude

·       Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills

·       Accomplish detail oriented tasks within given time frames and standards

·       Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks

·       Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills

·       Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
