Software Engineer

Description

Looking for a Software Engineer developing web based applications in financial domain. The position involves design, development and maintenance of 529 web application in existing MVC framework. The ideal candidate must have Java, J2EE, Oracle, Struts, REST Webservice, AWS, XML, JBoss, Apache, AJAX, HTML, Javascript, CSS and other web technology skills.  The candidate must have proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.  This is a key position within the Ascensus College Savings technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Build REST APIs for 529 business entities
  • Migrate existing web functionality to use REST endpoints
  • Work on existing framework on Java/J2EE, Oracle, Struts, REST Webservice, JBoss, Apache, XML, HTML, Javascript, CSS and other web technologies
  • Work with QA to fix any bugs in the system

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in web development
  • Working experience on Java/J2EE, Oracle, Struts, REST Webservice, AWS, JBoss, Apache, XML, HTML, Javascript, CSS, JQuery and other web based technologies
  • Financial Services experience is preferred
  • Experience with Unix or Linux environment is preferred
