
ERISA Consultant
Position Purpose:
Primary responsibilities include preparing and assisting in preparing IRS and DOL correction programs, controlled group determinations, determination letter filings and other fee-for-service engagement support to ERISA team members; preparation and assembly of plan documents; technical research; analysis; administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Fee-for-Service Engagements
Assisting with fee-for-service engagements including Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Department of Labor (DOL) correction programs, controlled group determinations and IRS determination letter filings
Data Management
Organizing and tracking data and documents
ERISA Department Support
Providing administrative support for ERISA team members related to retirement plan products and services
Legal Retirement Plan Document Drafting
Demonstrating a functional knowledge of Ascensus retirement plan documents
Forms
Demonstrating a functional knowledge of Ascensus retirement plan forms and notices
Employer Level QRP Document Drafting
Completing employer level qualified retirement plan documents
Industry Knowledge
Demonstrating basic knowledge of the retirement plans industry including the applicable regulatory agencies (e.g., DOL and IRS)
Research
· Complete basic retirement plan research projects and present basic retirement research findings
Continuing Education
Enhancing technical and industry knowledge by attending continuing education classes
SLAs
Meeting department service level standards
Performing other duties and projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
Degrees
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or relate field

Demonstrate basic proficiency in Outlook and MS Office software applications, specifically Word, Access and Power Point
