Job Profile Summary:

A software 'robot' is a software application that automates predictable and repeatable business processes using the same "front end" interfaces that the business users use. Using ‘robots’ allows us to save a time by automating repeatable tasks and enhance business productivity, efficiency and quality and thereby moving to a virtual workforce operations that will release humans for higher value jobs.

Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a RPA Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of new and existing automation processes. You will be exposed to a wide array of business applications that get tied together with our robots, and will create value for the organization by automating business tasks.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

The important ways to spend time in this job are:

  • Design,  develop and test workforce (Bots) Process Automation Solutions for various business units by leveraging RPA (Robotics Process Automation) tool
  • Assist & Partner with technical team and Business team with the creation of Automation architecture to create Robotic Business Process Automation 
  • Assist in creating RPA Automation per best practices 
  • Collaborate with IT to deploy and maintain the Bots in production

The 2-3 most important duties of this job are:

  • Be a key partner to the business and the rest of the team throughout the delivery cycle
  • Employ agile development practices including test driven development and deployment automation as well as Continuous Integration to improve overall execution speed and product quality

Skills and attributes required to do this job well

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with the technical team as well as the business team
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including business acumen and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, optimize, and integrate analytic solutions of a complex nature across an organization
  • Strong self-direction and initiative; willingness to take complete ownership of the Automation Platform being a strong team player

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum 3 years of development experience with a solid understanding of programming concepts
  • Solid programming background, preferably in .NET.
  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent with process analysis, requirements gathering and programming background
  • Baseline understanding in the areas of technology (programming in SQL, .NET and HTML)
  • Excellent design, coding, testing and debugging skills



Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation’s solutions (we use Kryon, but others include BluePrism, Automation Anywhere)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business and IT
