Section 1: Position Summary

The Associate Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting 529 plan operational processes for offshore service centers, with a focus on financial analysis, workflow management, and data integrity through Kofax and Unite applications. This role partners with onshore teams, leverages automation for efficiency, and ensures strong administrative oversight in a global financial services environment.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transactional processing, reporting, and reconciliations within Kofax and Unite for 529 plan operations, ensuring accurate and timely completion of daily tasks.
  • Monitor workflow queues in Kofax to prioritize and process Account changes, Deposits, Withdrawals, Rollover, Enrollments etc. for education savings accounts.
  • Support onboarding and maintenance of 529 plan accounts in Unite, ensuring data is consistent, compliant, and audit ready.
  • Analyze operational data and financial transactions to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist with the creation of dashboards, routine operational reports, and documentation to track productivity, errors, and regulatory adherence.
  • Collaborate closely with cross border teams to resolve escalated issues and maintain operational continuity across time zones.
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3:  Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • MBA, preferable from Finance background
  • Experience in the US retirement industry for 0 to 2 years (not mandatory)
  • Open core Night shifts based on business requirements 
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Good typing skill and attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability work independently.
  • Familiarity MSOffice software applications, including Excel & Word
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset.
  • Effective collaboration in global, cross functional teams with clear communication in English.
  • Understanding of US 529 plan regulations and related financial services compliance is a plus.
  • Able to work flexible hours to align with onshore team requirements and business needs.
