Section 1: Position Summary
The Business Analyst will support operational functions, institutional account management and business development efforts for Newport Trust which provides America’s leading corporations and institutions with institutional trustee and independent fiduciary services for retirement and employee benefit plans.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Functions
• Participate in weekly status meetings and committee meetings
• Generate internal reports to support critical business processes
• Review daily reports, identify operational issues, and notify the appropriate account teams
• Assist with posting of authorized, approved account activity
• Assist with posting of daily net cash settlement
• Check all prospective clients against the Office of Foreign Assets Control’s (OFAC’s) database of sanctioned entities
Institutional Account Management
• Serve as Relationship Manager for one-time client projects, including client interactions, opening accounts, ensuring completeness of documentation and billing in accordance with internal procedures
• Respond to due diligence/vendor and engagement questions from existing clients
• Invoice clients in accordance with their contractual terms
• Coordinate efforts with account teams and draft client presentations
Business Development Efforts
• Maintain and update marketing letter templates and other marketing materials
• Create and maintain library of request for proposal (“RFP”) question and answer pairs
• Seek support from parent company’s marketing department as needed

• Entry level position seeking candidates with 0 to 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a business or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong office application skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Adobe
• Proven team player who works effectively with colleagues
• Highly motivated individual with entrepreneurial spirit who is eager to learn, contribute to the team’s success, and grow the business
