Section 1: Position Summary

This position will oversee multiple areas within the Wrangle Team, focusing on Form 5500 production, to ensure timely reporting, delivery and fulfillment of the 5500 services.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

  • Responsible for leading and growing the Form 5500 Services budget, processes, leaders and staff.
  • Define and document processes to improve efficiency, quality standards and development standards.
  • Maintains positive and productive relationship across teams and departments.
  • Support business vision by serving as a liaison between departments.
  • Management of the Form 5500 Representatives in order to achieve service level agreement requirements and set weekly metrics that are reported to senior management.
  • Participates in the development of long-term strategic plans for the Wrangle team based on market information/trends and client feedback.
  • Responsible for overall associate and client satisfaction in order to meet agreed to benchmarks by managing the appropriate follow-ups from associate and client surveys that lead to associate and client retention goals.
  • Responsible for formulating policies providing oversight for the operation of the team.
  • Manages appropriate levels of staff to support company objectives including development of strategic business plans and resource requests. 
  • Critical leader and member of project teams.
  • Ensures all products are within known compliance requirements by coordinating with Ascensus’ legal and ERISA areas as needed.
  • Ensures current product offerings meet client expectations and enhances market image of Wrangle/Ascensus. 
  • Front line support for client concerns to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Manage Staff and set clear goals and objectives.
  • Develop leadership and staff expertise, ability and experience for career pathing.
  • Mentor and develop requisite skills for associates to be effective.
  • Actively seek out ways to improve associate satisfaction and deliver results.

Section 3:  Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • For virtual remote positions, we require an uninterrupted workspace during business hours and an internet work speed of 25 Mbps or better.  If you are unsure of your internet speed before applying, please check with your service provider.
  • Associate Degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Microsoft Office experience required
  • Minimum of 7 years in Health and Welfare ERISA Compliance and Reporting with focus on 5500s
  • Project coordination experience strongly desired
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • 2-3 years customer service experience required
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player
