Are you a student looking to make extra money this summer while gaining valuable work experience? The program offers practical corporate work experience that could lead to full-time work after graduation. We are seeking students going into their senior year, graduating spring of 2027. The shift is from 9 am to 5 pm, 40 hours per week, starting in June and ending in August. This role is hybrid, requiring one onsite day per week at our Lake Mary, FL office.

Section 1: Position Summary

The Newport Nonqualified Product Delivery Intern works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth delivery processes, accurate documentation, and timely communication while supporting the product delivery team in planning, coordinating, and executing activities that help deliver high‑quality products and features to customers. This position is ideal for students interested in product management, agile workflows, and technology delivery. The Intern will gain hands-on experience working with a cross‑functional product team, exposure to real-world product delivery and agile development practices, the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that impact users, mentorship from product and technology professionals and development of skills aligned with careers in product management, operations, UX, or technology. 

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Product Support & Coordination 

  • Assist in planning and coordinating projects withing the delivery team. 
  • Collaborate with team members to help track progress of product delivery work against established timelines 
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing data for project evaluation and reporting. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between project deliverables and business requirements. 
  • Undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as delegated by the Product Delivery team members. 

Documentation & Communication 

  • Create and maintain product documentation such as release notes, process guides, and feature summaries. 
  • Support communication of product updates to internal stakeholders and business partners. 
  • Help prepare materials for product demos, sprint reviews, or roadmap discussions. 

Analysis & Research 

  • Conduct market, customer, or competitor research to support product decisions. 
  • Analyze product data, user feedback, or operational metrics to identify insights. 
  • Support creation of dashboards or reports related to product delivery performance. 

Quality & Process Improvement 

  • Assist QA with light testing or validation of new features. 
  • Participate in retrospectives, contributing ideas for improving delivery workflows. 
  • Help ensure product processes follow Agile, Scrum, or Kanban best practices. 

CrossFunctional Learning & Support 

  • Provide assistance to other areas of the business as needed to support team priorities 
  • Participate in cross functional projects or initiatives to gain exposure to different business functions 
  • Learn and assist with operational, administrative, or analytical tasks outside the primary role when appropriate 
  • Actively seek learning opportunities and contributes where support is needed

Section 3:  Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

Required 

  • Current student pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Interest in product development, technology, and user‑centric design. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools. 

Preferred 

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean). 
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Asana, or similar task‑tracking software. 
  • Basic understanding of software development processes.
