Student Call Center Summer Work Program – Gain Valuable Corporate Work Experience!

Are you a student looking to make extra money this summer while gaining valuable work experience? Ascensus Government Savings, the leading administrator of 529 college savings plans, is dedicated to servicing the needs of its clients, their plans, and millions of families saving for college across the country. We are seeking service-minded college students from any major and year to join our client service team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about our business and contribute to our noble cause of helping millions of Americans save for education. The program offers practical corporate work experience that could lead to part-time work during the school year come September. The shift is from 9 am to 5 pm, 40 hours per week, starting June 2nd through late August.

As part of the team, students will be responsible for providing high-quality service to our 529 plans by handling phone requests from financial advisors, broker/dealers, and account owners seeking information or executing requests on specific accounts, product or plan information, and policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional client service experiences to account owners and financial advisors

• Process financial and non-financial transactions timely and accurately

• Display flexibility and teamwork by being an active participant on the team

• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Practice organization and effective communication

• Log and track both calls and requests while servicing clients

• Develop understanding of product, plan provisions, procedures, and systems

• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Note: For call center roles specifically, it is a requirement to either hardwire your equipment directly to the internet router or ensure your workstation is in close proximity to the router.
