Temporary Associate – PAM Update Project (Skills & Qualifications)

1. Core Functional Skills (Required)

Data Entry & System Accuracy

  • Ability to accurately transfer data from Plan Administration Manual (Word documents) into system fields (BOSS)
  • Strong attention to detail with high data accuracy and consistency
  • Comfortable working with structured fields and system-driven inputs

The project requires completing setup fields and updating plan data as part of the BOSS configuration process.

Document Interpretation & Translation

  • Ability to interpret Plan Administration Manual and translate it into system fields
  • Understand how to apply logic when information is unclear or incomplete
  • Comfortable making reasonable assumptions with guidance and documenting them

The project leverages a Checklist and requires converting document content into system configurations.

Excel Proficiency

  • Basic Excel skills, including:
    • Copy & Paste
    • Insert Rows
    • Add Filter & Freeze Panes
    • Remove duplicates
  • Ability to compile and maintain lists (e.g., event codes, distribution codes)

Data Validation & Quality Control (QC)

  • Ability to audit entered data against source documents
  • Perform reasonability checks to ensure data makes sense operationally
  • Identify and flag:
    • Missing fields
    • Inconsistent data
    • Potential setup issues

QC includes reviewing entries for accuracy and ensuring sections are complete and administratively reasonable.

                  

2. Technical & System Skills

  • Ability to learn and navigate BOSS system functionality
  • Familiarity with:
    • Data extract reports
    • System-based configuration fields
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Codes (event codes, distribution settings, etc.)
    • Structured system inputs vs. freeform text

The role interacts with BOSS distribution settings, extract reports, and system configuration data

3. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Ability to:
    • Translate ambiguous Plan Administration Manual into structured inputs
    • Identify when something “does not make sense” operationally
    • Escalate issues or questions appropriately
  • Logical thinker with strong pattern recognition

4. Organizational & Process Discipline

  • Ability to follow standard procedures and templates
  • Strong time management to handle high-volume, repetitive tasks
  • Ability to:
    • Track progress across multiple plans
    • Maintain organized work and documentation

5. Communication Skills

  • Clear written communication for:
    • Documenting assumptions
    • Flagging issues for QC review
  • Ability to collaborate with:
    • Core Product Support
    • QC reviewers
    • Project leads

The project includes structured communication and handoffs between setup and QC teams
