Section 1: Position Summary

The Newport Group has an excellent opportunity for a Trust Administrator in our Special Fiduciary Services department of Newport Trust Company. The Trust Administrator will work with various Relationship Managers on both discretionary and directed retirement plans and related fiduciary accounts.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the Relationship Managers with the processing of deliverables for various SFS trust clients including the initiation of stock and mutual fund trades, wire transfers, check processing, plan sub accounting, and various reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable law, such as controlling documents and internal policies including interacting with compliance professionals and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide assistance in the process of administrative reviews, new client onboarding, and ongoing operations of the trust/custodial business.

Section 3:  Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or industry experience.
  • Trust system experience necessary (e.g., SEI’s Trust3000).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts utilizing current spreadsheet and accounting database software programs.
  • Effective time management and organization skills.
  • Can work under pressure in a very fast paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.

For all virtual remote positions, in order to ensure associates can effectively perform their job duties with no distractions, we require an uninterrupted virtual work space and there is also an expectation of family care being in place during business hours. Additionally, there is an internet work speed requirement of 25 Mbps or better for individual use. Note: For call center roles specifically, it is a requirement to either hardwire your equipment directly to the internet router or ensure your workstation is in close proximity to the router.
