This position will serve as the focal point for key distribution partner relationships for Ascensus, managing the assigned relationships both strategically at the home office level and tactically in the field to increase our productivity to achieve stated goals.

There is only 1 position. Position can be hybrid to our Dresher, PA nd Newton, MA locations or remote outside of the areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and expand key partner relationships according to the objectives and retirement plan goals in documented strategic business plan for each partner
  • Responsible for contract maintenance and negotiation for assigned Institutional Partners
  • Leverage internal Ascensus resources to maintain and develop relationships with assigned Institutional Partners focusing on client management, retention and growth opportunities
  • Ongoing effective communication to promote Ascensus’ core messaging and key initiatives
  • Balance Ascensus objectives with our distribution partner’s objectives and create solutions that are beneficial to both organizations
  • Manage partner initiatives and product solution projects to completion to ensure our products and services meet our partner’s strategic needs for growth
  • Support assigned Business Development team members in building influential and productive relationships to develop a collaborative environment to drive success for the organization with our key distribution partners
  • Partner with Business Development Team, Sales Leadership and Sales Team to identify opportunities to leverage partner firm intel, targeted advisors and markets where we can drive additional sales activity to broaden our distribution footprint with our key distribution partners
  • Represent Ascensus at industry, advisor and thought leadership conferences, including as featured speaker or panelist, to promote Ascensus’ proficiency in our chosen markets bringing back firm intel, advisor connections and opportunity leads for sales team
  • Work closely with Associates across the organization to execute our partner strategies, maintain healthy partner relationships and resolve escalated issues in a timely manner
  • Manage travel, entertainment and master distribution partnership budgets
  • Ability to discuss industry trends with all constituents (Advisors, Broker-dealers, DCIO firms, Institutional Partners)
  • Work closely with colleagues in Product, Operations, Client Management, Marketing and Business Development to guide our solutions and the vision of Ascensus in marketplace
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of key competitors with the ability to highlight our unique advantages
  • Engage with Institutional Partners to ensure, where appropriate, their products and solutions are ably represented alongside our own
  • Ensure we meet all contractual commitments tied to the distribution and SLAs in the contract
  • Participate in evaluation of and development of new partner relationships and coordinate appropriate communication strategy
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Requirements:

  • 10 + years of experience in the retirement plan industry
  • Series 6 and 63 (or the ability to obtain within six months of employment)
  • Location – flexible (if not Philadelphia-based, regularly travel to and spend time in home office)
  • Strong, in-depth ERISA and plan design knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting publicly as well as one-on-one
  • Proven successful distribution of full service defined contribution recordkeeping and administrative services
  • Over-night travel
  • Superior time management skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment
